The Wars of the Roses was a series of civil wars fought in medieval England from 1455 to 1487. The conflict was primarily between the House of Lancaster, represented by a red rose, and the House of York, a white rose. The wars resulted in the establishment of the Tudor dynasty and the end of the Plantagenets.
